BABIES FIRST TEETH: have probably been called milk teeth because they erupted when children were breastfed and because they are whiter in color than the next round of teeth.

People get two set of teeth. The first set of teeth, the milk teeth are adapted for the small child's mouth.

These teeth are also called primary teeth and primary teeth eruption, unlike the adult teeth that are called permanent teeth.

HOW MANY BABY TEETH? Altogether, children get a total of twenty milk teeth, 10 in the lower jaw and 10 in the upper jaw, and these teeth usually come first in the lower jaw and then in the upper jaw.

Many babies have hardly any symptoms when they get their milk teeth, but just as many babies do have symptoms when they start teething.

Baby Teething Remedies

Sooth your baby's discomfort with a gentle gum massage.

Give the baby a chilled teething ring to chew on or rub the baby's gums with a soft toothbrush.

Teething for babies can occasionally create irritated gums when the new milk tooth has had difficulty to penetrate the gum, and it becomes a little swelling.

It can even show a small bruise and you may see a blue mark as the tooth makes it's way to the surface.

BABY TEETHING PAIN: Only if your child seems to be hurting, should you visit a pediatric dentist for teething medication.

Since many children, when teeth erupt love to chew on things, it's important that your child has Safe Teething Toys that are self soothing to chew on.

Often parents blame all kinds of possible symptoms when their babies start teething.

But the tooth eruption itself can not cause vomiting, diarrhea and loss of appetite or seizures.

FEVER TEETHING: Some babies, infants and toddlers have a slight temperature of 100 degrees F/37.8 degrees C, during teething but they have no fever.

Teething irritation doesn't cause Fever Temperature in children.

If the child gets fever symptoms, it is because something else is wrong, and needs to be seen by a pediatrician.

It is said that when babies start teething late, if the baby teeth erupt late, the teeth get stronger with less chance for cavities.

As soon as the first tooth has erupted fully, a daily Baby Teeth Care routine needs to be established.
